Great shoe! Raises the bar for support and stability.

lazyboi · Feb 28, 2018

5/5

Overall

This shoe could be one of the best you've ever run in. As usual with an adidas running shoe, it features boost cushioning, which is very soft, yet provides exceptional energy return. It's more densely packed on the medial side, which is the main attraction in this shoe as it provides adequate support for overpronation. The EM upper is very breathable as well. It fits nicely, especially with the external heel counter, which helps with support and stability. It's very durable too. The outsole is very grippy, and it holds up through lots of wear and tear. The laces bite through the tongue if tied too tightly, but that's not much of a problem if you loosen them slightly . If you want a stability running shoe that performs higher than the standards, this is the shoe for you!

solid daily trainer - with some cons

Great shoe - and solid replacement for the Supernova Sequence. However, (1) the shoes has less arch support than the sequence, and (2) the heel design is a disaster (it is too shallow). The forums include discussions on (1).

Overall

I like this shoe because of its size. It is certainly not a lightweight trainer. But as a runner who has gotten two stress fractures in my feet before wearing this shoe, I knew I needed something more durable. This shoe has all the luxury of the Boost technology, with a sense of firmness and weight behind it. Sometimes on a long run this shoe can feel like you're picking up bricks instead of shoes, however, since putting these shoes on, my feet have never been more safe and secure, ensuring that I can up my mileage safely. The color combos are unique and cool (keep the purple coming). They aren't clunky and awkward. The laces are nice and shouldn't wear out under any conditions.

Solid Support Shoe

Anonymous runner · Feb 6, 2018

Very good cushioning. Only downside is the heel--even with butterfly lacing, the heel slips more than the previous model and causes the material to tear. Aside from that, a very well-balanced, solid daily trainer.
