Overall

I had been wearing the Brooks Launch for about three years, but most running stores do not carry it. I was sick of always ordering online so I decided to try something I could find in my local running store. The salesman suggested the Sayonara. It felt relatively comfortable when trying it on. It was obviously different than the Launch, but I thought I would just need to get used to it. After my first run, my right IT band really started to hurt. It only hurt when walking up or down stairs so I kept running in the shoes for a couple of days. I thought maybe it was just a coincidence, but after a few days switched back to my old shoes and the IT band pain disappeared. I am not sure what about the shoe made me land differently and stress the IT band, but it came on very quickly and disappeared very quickly after I started/stopped wearing these shoes.

Bought as a replacement for Mizuno Elixir 8 after Elixir has been discontinued. Use mostly for track work and tempo runs. Not enough support or durability compared to Elixir - Will not buy again.
