Overall

The MR 1400 is a shoe that took me a while to break in i's say about 35 miles is when i started to feel the rev-lite cushioning and the out sole hitting the ground ( the road feeling). The only thing that i have a problem with is that the tongue usually gets tucked into the right side of the shoe. I usually have cramps with them most of the time when i do runs of 4 miles or longer. I only like them because they work great for track session workouts (Its a fast shoe). I think i'm in between the normal and high arch area of the feet. That being said, on most of my long runs i get cramps if i wear socks that are too thick, but again its that fast feeling that is just so damn good.

Really quite a good shoe, very versatile. Its a perfect shoe except for how quickly it falls apart. The outsole lasts quite a while, but the upper is really flimsy (mostly because it was designed to be a marathon racer). It works for longer runs, as well as shorter tempos with how light it is.

I've found this shoe to be great from speed work to long runs. Currently have 350 miles on this pair and they are still in very good shape. The shoe is extremely light and the design of the foam allows for a natural feeling midfoot strike or heel strike with just the right amount of cushioning.

Overall

I wear the 1400 for races from 10 miles up (I wear the 1600 for shorter races). I also wear it for track workouts when I run to and from the track if I don't want to carry a pair of flats, because it is okay to run 10 miles in the shoe (if I ran 10 miles in the 1600, I would be sore).
