Perfect for road to trail

Overall

This is the best road to trail shoe I’ve found. There is no rock plate so it’s not perfect for super rocky terrain for for a road to dirt to trail to root out in it is the best. Fast shoe.

Midsole Cushioning

Overall

Midsole cushioning in the Pegasus 36 Trail offer responsive comfort. It’s so nice to feel this on the trails (not just the roads). The midsole is also very flexible toward the forefoot, which is essential for a trail shoe that needs to conform to the ground beneath it.

"Premier" Trainer takes to the Trails

I've never been a fan of any Pegasus models before, but the 36 Trail...it just works. The extra 2mm of cushion over the normal Pegasus 36 makes a world of difference. The cushlon midsole with air zoom units is very comfortable, and the trail-oriented upper has amazing lockdown. I'm not sure how many miles I can get out of this. I have two pairs that each have about 350-450 miles on them, and both pairs still have life left in them. Additionally, the midfoot lockdown is incredible. My first pair was 11.5 and my second pair is an 11, yet in both my foot feels totally secure without being constricted too much. I do use the extra eyelet on the 11.5, but I didn't use it for the first 300 or so miles, and the lockdown felt absolutely fine.
