“Clearly they are quality shoes, as you expect from Salomon. They deliver excellent grip on the trails, even work well on more technical terrain while even run well on the road, if one has to.”

I "sense" a great ride

Anonymous runner · Jul 10, 2019

4/5

Overall

I chose this shoe for a trail racer that could handle mildly technical and possibly sloppy trails while feeling fast on the pavement as well, as my goal race was about half road and half trail (50mi race). This is a shoe that feels secure on technical trails and excels in wetter conditions. It wasn't great as a crossover road shoe as it's a firm ride. The contagrip outsole is very sticky on smooth surfaces like rocks and logs. It's not a roomy shoe but it's very stable as a result. good overall shoe for trails.

great first trail running shoe

Anonymous runner · Jul 8, 2019

4/5

Overall

I have had a few running shoes over the years as well as heftier hiking shoes/boots. I like salomon a lot and these shoes have been great for transitioning from hiking/road running into trail running. They are super comfortable and probably the best fitting running shoes I have ever owned.
