Overall

I just purchased my 3rd pair. These are close to bullet-proof, and the best choice for a range of off-road, mostly flat-ish terrain (crushed gravel, loose rock, paved earth, trail, single-track, even muddy horse trails). Highly recommended!

Overall

I like the Speedcross for running rocky trails and I've had two pairs of Speedcross 6 after running in the Speedcross 5. The sole is stiff enough and the tread is wonderful for traction. It provides sufficient support so that ankles are not taxed after running rocky single track in Colorado and New Mexico. However after just a few weeks of running the shoe no longer provides the cushioned comfort and feels dead. These shoes wear out fast and the laces lose elasticity fast. I have other shoes that last longer. When they are new they feel amazing. If I can find them on sale I will pick up a pair. The laces require some finagling and fumbling to get the laces to tuck in properly. Years ago I had a friend with these type of laces that came out of the pocket. The loop got caught and he fell and broke both elbows.
