Inside rear of shoe wears very quickly

Anonymous runner · Dec 28, 2019

3/5

Overall

Although I eventually wear a hole in the rear heel/Achilles area of all of my shoes, I was able to wear a hole in this area after using these shoes less than 20 times. I got a shoe repair shop to sew leather over the worn area, but that resulted in rubbing on my right achilles and underneath the outside ankle bone that caused bleeding.

A pretty good shoe

Anonymous runner · Aug 9, 2019

4/5

Overall

Overall, I've enjoyed the Saucony Guide, particularly over the first 200 miles of use. It fits well and is comfortable for both running and walking around. It doesn't place too much pressure on the heel, which is nice for someone like me with Achilles issues. My biggest complaint is that the sole wears out very quickly. My current pair only has 310 miles on them, but the tread is essentially nonexistent in some places. The price is also a little high (~$120), although I've found them for as cheap as $60 with discounts. Overall, I'd wear this shoe again, but if something else came along, I'd be willing to switch over.

Ran these shoes literally to shreds

Anonymous runner · Jul 20, 2019

5/5

Overall

Received these shoes as a gift from my wife Christmas 2018. It's not July 2019 and I'm still wearing them for every run. This spring I averaged 30 miles per week and am building up to 40. Normally when shoes begin to degrade my hips or knees will start to be tight but I can just keep going in these for some reason. I'm finally going to buy a new pair because the upper is literally ripping from the base otherwise I would probably keep rocking them. Only thing I don't use them for is races because they are a little heavy, I'm not the biggest fan of the color either but don't really care at all.

Great workhorse

Anonymous runner · Jul 11, 2019

4/5

Overall

Nothing too special about this shoe, have run a couple thousand miles across multiple pairs with virtually no injuries. Soft, comfortable, and light enough to hit faster paces on training runs. However, always wore straight through the lining around the heel which led to some discomfort. The shoes tend to lose their pop rather quickly as well.

Guide ISO

The toe box is a bit smaller than I'd like, and the bottom wares down at around 300 miles. feels significantly different than the guide iso 2.
