I got this shoe to serve mainly as a daily trainer, and it did the job just fine. The outsole did a good job of gripping the pavement even while wet and has proven to be durable. The cushioning felt hard out of the box, but after 30 miles it broke in and feels very nice. The upper is overbuilt and has a sloppy fit. The heel is very padded, so any sprinting in will cause heel slip. The mid-foot lockdown was not much better. This shoe would be a great recovery day shoe and daily training (as long as faster work is not done in it).

They are boats

This is a highly cushioned and highly-plush shoe for recovery days. It has lots of rubber on the sole and plenty of bouncy cushioning underfoot. It’s heavy and can feel a bit ponderous but certainly serves its need when it comes to recovery days.

Best shoe I've worn in a while

OnceALaxer · Jan 24, 2020

Overall

I've had this shoe for three weeks and put 83 miles on it. I was looking for a cushioned shoe for longer runs at a slower pace. The cushion did not disappoint, but this shoe has way more snap than I had expected. You don't feel the weight of the shoe (at least not as an everyday trainer; you would obviously notice the difference from a racing flat). I've been running faster in this shoe than I had in my previous daily trainer by quite a bit. The shoe is still relatively new, but it still is in good shape - there is enough rubber on the bottom to keep this going for many more miles. I bought these to replace the Nike Pegasus 36, which I had bought after 3 pairs of the Pegasus 35. I really did not like the 36 - I felt like it was trying to be a jack of all trades, and it just didn't work particularly well for anything. It was not cushioned enough for longer runs, and didn't have the snap for quicker work. My runs in this shoe were just monotonous.

An okay shoe if you want to run slowwwww

Anonymous runner · Jan 19, 2020

Overall

While this shoe is soft and plush when you first put it on your foot, it just does not work for most running. It is incredibly soft and cushy, but doesn't feel especially bouncy or responsive like I would like in a highly cushioned shoe. Instead, it feels like you start to sink down into the cushion, which is disappointing. These shoes also started to hurt the outsides of my feet a few miles in, also not ideal in a shoe that can really only be worn for very long, very slow jaunts. There is absolutely no way you could run fast in this shoe, going much under 8 minute pace felt impossible. I can imagine if you're someone with joint issues who loves some very soft cushion, you would like this shoe, and it's great for standing and walking around, but I just won't be running in these.
