Changed My View` on Saucony

Anonymous runner · Jan 15, 2020

5/5

Overall

I have always ran in others from NIke, Hoka, Brooks and other various shoes that have caught my attention. I personally sub-pronate a lot to wear my shoes will be done after 200-300 miles because I rip through the side of my left pinky toe. If you look at any of my shoes there is only wear on the outside of the shoes. When I began wearing the Iso Truimph 5 I noticed after my first few runs the tread was hitting almost perfectly mid-strike and in the middle of my foot. Although these shoes maybe a little klunky they are perfect for any run from easy days to up tempo days and some track work. This shoe has opened view to a whole new brand that I never really respected. I would recommend this shoe to anyone.

A Fantastic Heavy Trainer

Overall

This shoe is great to go to if you're okay with some extra bulk. It has the comfort that Hokas brong but tend to last much longer in my experience. The 8mm drop keeps the legs a little healthier and the cushion keeps you from even feeling the ground. Only negative is that they're pretty ugly.

Steady performer

Overall

This shoe has set a new standard in durability that all future shoes will be compared with. I'm your standard 65 mile a week, 7 min/mile neutral runner. This shoe isn't flashy and doesn't have a huge marketing campaign but it has already given me 300 miles with very few signs of wear. I already purchased a second pair for when they eventually do have to be retired.

Overall

Very solid shoe. Enough cushion to be an everyday trainer but not that clunky. I land on the outside of my foot and tend to go through shoes quickly but I haven't had that issue with this shoe. Similar to the Guide but more durable upper. Unfortunately the inside of the shoe, where the tongue meets the laces, wears quickly. Other than that, the shoe has a lot to offer.
