Overall

Shoe is big. Too much cushion, not enough response. They claim you can remove the insole and make the shoe lighter and a bit more responsive. Did not feel that at all. You can feel the weight of the shoe in each step. Slows turn over, even for an easy run. Ran in the 4 times between 4-7 miles. They are in my garage collecting dust. I'm sure they will be in the donation pile before the end of the year.

Great Recovery Shoe; Very Versatile. Flight Gen midsole is Legit.

Overall

Drop. 6mm, but not too noticeable with the amount of cushion. Structure. Flight Gen midsole is awesome. It is EVA, but nearly as springy as good TPU midsoles. Interested to see how well they hold up and keep their springyness. Also, the insole is removable, which completely transforms the shoe into a faster paced shoe appropriate for all but the fastest speed work, albeit with a roomier fit. Not nearly as light as the New Balance Beacon, however. I believe the Beacon and Ride 7 accomplish the same goal at the same price (granted, Ride 7 will be easier to find on clearance), but the Beacon is 2oz lighter and much better looking. Outsole. Mix of exposed EVA and blown rubber. Grip fine on all but wet painted lines. The limiting factor on these will be midsole compression, not outsole wear. Upper. Upper is stretchy enough to accommodate a variety of foot shapes. Midfoot is secured by overlays, giving you a very secure midfoot and effectively roomy toebox. Good combination.

Overall

This shoe has a great out of the box feel. The upper fits the foot extremely well. The cushioning is fantastic, and the response from the shoe is great as well. I've not been overly impressed with some of the other Skechers models I've worn as they have seemed to have some durability issues. The shoe's price is very reasonable for the shoe one is getting;

Overall

The Ride 7 is a huge improvement upon the 6. It's well cushioned, but also fairly durable (at around 180 miles and it still feels the same as the first mile). Maybe even very durable; time will tell. This is a perfect shoe if you're the kind of person who uses one shoe for every run. It's well cushioned, but responsive. Light, but not so light that it lacks durability or protection. It is moderately flexible, allowing your foot to have some movement, but not just flop all over the place. I use this shoe as my recovery day shoe. I prefer light weight fairly minimal shoes, so this is the most cushioned in my lineup.
