Overall

Merrell's first entry into the barefoot road shoe market was a homerun.  The Road Glove 1 got everything right - zero drop, road feel, protection, flexible, durable, light, unique look.  The only downside to the Road Glove 1 from talking to many other minimal shoe runners is that some folks with lower arches are bothered by the shape of the Merrell footbed.  For some people, the shoe feels like it has arch support and they hate it.  For those of us who feel like the shoe fits like a glove, we never feel it.  This is a minor problem since the Merrell Road Glove 1 has not been produced for over ten years; but it is still available pre-owned on ebay.
