Overall

The Adidas Supernova Rise is a completely adequate daily mileage shoe, but serves no purpose beyond that.  It has a heavier on-foot feel yet the cushion is not exceedingly comfortable beyond most other foams.  At the MSRP of $140, one is better off with a cornerstone mileage shoe from another company that will offer a better product for a similar price.

Mellow Daily Trainer

Overall

The supernova rise is plush and mellow, with ample cushioning in the midsole and on the upper. I really like the direction adidas went with introducing this line of shoes, but they just lack the excitement and pop that you may find with the ASICS novablast or even the new Pegasus. The dreamstrike foam is definitely protective, but I wouldn’t say it’s lively. For me, this shoe is best for easy training runs and not much more. Not a bad shoe, but nothing to write home about quite yet.
