Pricey, but soooo comfortable

2000diego · Feb 7, 2018

Overall

Very comfortable shoe, feels light yet well cushioned. It's a little too pricey for me. Sometimes the inside of the heel will lose some traction and you might feel like your foot is slipping out. Not super durable on the inside, prone to holes in the fabric, etc.

Asics Dynaflyte

Anonymous runner · Jan 10, 2018

5/5

Overall

Many people have been upset with the changes ASICS has made over the past couple of years to many of their longest standing shoes (Kayano, Nimbus, and Cumulus to name a few), but ASICS hit the nail on the head with the Dynaflyte. Durable and with enough cushion to make it for your long run (furthest I did was 16 miles in them, and there was no problem whatsoever), these shoes are built to last. Now, normally a shoe that has as much cushion as these is clunky and heavy (looking at you, Nimbus), but the Dynaflyte is also light enough to handle uptempo workouts. I'm not saying I'd go run 400s or even 800s in them on a regular basis, but they did the trick for longer tempos and days when I just felt good and wanted to crank the pace up some. These shoes last me 400 miles before I felt I could reasonably retire them, and I honestly probably could've put another 75-125 miles on them and would have been fine.

Asics Finally Gets It Right

fleetfoot15 · Dec 28, 2017

5/5

Overall

After running in Sauconys for 2-3 years, they started making their shoes with poor-fitting uppers so I was looking for a new brand of running shoes. I tried about 15 different models before I settled on the Asics Dynaflyte. The shoe is fairly unique for Asics since it only has an 8mm drop, which gives you a more balanced running stance. The midsole is "poppy", which seemed to help with my turnover. The best part is the fit of the upper though. It fits like a glove, never rubs, and provides excellent lateral stability compared to all the other shoes I tried. I have a propensity to roll my ankle (outwards), so the lateral stability was important to me. I've had 3 pairs of these shoes so far, and I'm averaging 400 miles per pair. One of the best daily trainers that I've owned.
