Great uptempo lightweight running shoe

runnerd17 · Feb 6, 2018

Overall

I ran track workouts and tempos in these for nearly 6 months with no complaints. Did well in dry or wet conditions and was even comfortable on trails for some easy runs. I will certainly buy again and consider doing some easy mileage in these.

Cushy tempo shoe

Anonymous runner · Jan 6, 2018

4/5

Overall

I bought this shoe for track workouts, but it's actually surprisingly cushioned, which made it better for long tempos on the road. It lacks the firmness needed for the track (or for short races. I wore it for a 5k and it felt sluggish). I ran my half-marathon and 10-mile PRs in this shoe; that seems the perfect distance window. I don't think it would be appropriate for the marathon unless you have excellent biomechanics. Even after just a half, the inside of my calves were sore; the shoe allows a lot of movement as it has very little support. Also, to clarify - I am reviewing the MEN'S SHOE but I am a female. I always wear men's shoes because I have very wide feet. So take that into consideration re: pace, goals, etc. Fit: same last as other NB shoes; I got a wide to accommodate my wide forefoot. Durability: pretty good for a light racing shoe. I got 400 miles. Looks: sharp Price: you can get these for a steal - mine were under $70 as they were the version that was being replaced.
