Lightweight and simple and perfect

Anonymous runner · Dec 3, 2024

5/5

Overall

I've worn the Rebel for about 3-4 years now, starting with v2. v3 was still a great shoe, but definitely my least favorite iteration, and v4 has gone back to perfection. Nothing fancy, nothing added that is not needed. Great cushioning. Wide toebox without being a sloppy fit. Feels great on the road or trails (non-technical easy trails). I typically use this as my go-to easy run shoe, but I could use it for workouts if I didn't have super shoe options. If I were going on a long trip and could only take 1 shoe with me, this would be it.

Favorite trainer I've ever run in.

Overall

Got them for summer XC workouts (lots of tempo work) a long with a pair of Hoka Clifton Nines. Realized after about 140 miles that the Clifton's don't work for me at all. They gave me a small calf injury, and I changed to using the rebels for everything. Soon going to some speed shoes, but the Rebels hold up at almost any pace.

Feels like a supershoe

Anonymous runner · Nov 15, 2024

Overall

Lightweight trainers haven't weren't providing enough cushion. Supershoes were too expensive for anything but racing. The Rebel v4 is a perfect balance between price and performance and cushion so I can finally wear lighter shoes for big workouts again without breaking the bank.

Great show, great value

Anonymous runner · Nov 7, 2024

Overall

The rebel v4 fits better, is more durable, and is more fun to run in than the V3. I use it up to 10 miles but it would probably be fine going longer.
