Good trainer

JacobR · Jun 23, 2026

5/5

Overall

Very good for moderate/easy pace and super comfy and responsive. Slightly unstable/too soft so would only recommend if you're pretty conditioned and don't have any ankle instability - that said I've taken it on the trail when I've been without a proper trail shoe and it handled some pretty technical stuff reasonably well.

Looks like a clown shoe but feels surprisingly great

amkelley · Jun 13, 2026

Overall

I love the Rebel v3 but cannot find it any more. I bought the v4 and found it OK but not as nice as the 3. The v5 looks like a clown shoe with its very high stack and I resisted buying it for a long time, but finally found one colorway on sale pretty cheap so I took the plunge. I'm glad I did. The shoe feels super cushioned but in a springy rather than squishy way. It makes my feet feel great and I find no problem with stability on corners and it feels good at both slow and fast paces ("fast" being relative for me). I have very wide forefoot and I bought it in a wide size, and there's plenty of room for my toes. I also have a chronic Haglund's deformity and insertional Achilles tendinosis, and this shoe has a nice soft heel that doesn't aggravate that problem. I can't yet comment on durability but so far it gets a big thumbs up.

Lightweight, uptempo daily trainer

Anonymous runner · Jun 6, 2026

5/5

Overall

Pros: I am heel striker but with this shoe I am a mid-foot striker because it gently encourages that mid-foot style. It also is easier to have a higher cadence on this shoe. Great options for colorways. Lightweight. Can do up-tempo efforts or just use a normal daily trainer. Cons: The main con is the durability and not all pairs wear out the same. Some shoes of the same model I can get ~250 miles and others ~220. I think if they adjust the foam or add more protective layering on the bottom it could help with durability. Also running on softer surfaces greatly extends durability. They also have wide-width options which is great. The other con is I wouldn't do very fast paces (like mile pace or faster) on this since it does have some squishy feel because of the foam.
