Overall

I just ran in the Saucony 6 for the first time today. I am also running in the Saucony Guide 5 and have been using that shoe for at least a year. Prior to going to the Saucony Guide I had issues with Achilles tendonosis. I have not had any issues with the achilles since (knock on wood.) I have been very pleased with the Guide 4 through 6. Most of my below info is on running in the Guide 5 which is still in my rotation. Below in the where you run description, dirt road is not an option. I run primarily on dirt roads and am using the trail option in lieu of dirt road.

Lightweight and comfortable - good for about 300 miles before my old knees start to feel it.

Overall

I've run in New Balance, Karhu, and Brooks running shoes. I like all of them, but Saucony makes a great shoe and I think the Guide and the Ride pair well as an everyday running shoe and a 'I want to run a bit faster today, but don't need to do a workout in flats' sort of shoe. PLUS, they are reasonably priced, but still hold up for the standard 500 miles (and beyond) I typically rotate between 2-3 pairs of the Guides and 1 pair of Rides. They definitely continue performing past the 500 mile mark, but I'm just more careful about how often I wear older shoes. Great if you have wide feet/like a roomy toe-box.
