Flat Feet and a Dream

Anonymous runner · Oct 1, 2018

4/5

Overall

The Saucony Guide seemed to break down quickly. However, the overall structure and comfort of the shoe is one of the greatest I have had. The medial post held up very well and the mesh at the top is still yet to wear a hole, but the sole of the shoe did not withstand mileage very well.

Snug fit, good ride

Anonymous runner · Feb 28, 2018

5/5

Overall

I had to go up 1/2 size, and even then it's a bit on the snug side (can't fit thicker winter socks). But, the upper is flexible so this hasn't been uncomfortable in any regard. The thing that stands out is the ride -- so smooth, lets my foot move naturally despite having some pronation support. Smoother than other shoes I've been in recently (Brooks Adrenaline and Ravenna, particularly). I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but if they hold up well, I'll repurchase. Getting over achilles injury (sustained in different shoes), so I haven't run these fast or long yet. The tread was unusually slippery at first, such that I had to watch my footing on normal (wet) asphalt. This wore off within a few runs, but was concerning at first.

Great Shoe

Anonymous runner · Feb 9, 2018

Overall

Holds up well. Wears through mesh of toe box more quickly than expected, but otherwise does well after considerable use in mud, water, snow, and other rough conditions. Great shoe that has given me a lot of great miles.
