Nice and responsive, a bit lacking in cushioning

Fastnbulbous · Oct 29, 2019

4/5

Overall

I really liked the fit and feel of these for the first couple hundred miles. However compared to the Glide, I started to feel the lack of cushioning in the forefoot, that made me sore if I had to run on roads/pavement. I try to get 400 miles out of most shoes, but these started to feel too unforgiving, so I retired them just before 350. I have run a few times on the treadmill with them since, but aside from running on a soft trail or track, these are dunzo. Since I was also disappointed in the Solar Glide, I bought a pair of Solar Boost, I guess the successor to Energy Boost, and they seem to correct the issues from early impressions.

Amazing shoe! Fits snug on the foot. Only issue I’ve had is it wears out by 400 miles

Most responsive trainer

Anonymous runner · Jul 8, 2019

5/5

Overall

This shoe has by far been the most comfortable shoe I have ever run in. It is extremely responsive (due to the TPU throughout the sole) and cushioned (thanks to the boost technology). The boost cushioning has lasted, in my experience, for 600+ miles, however, the upper starts to wear holes in it right around 500-600 miles. Unfortunately, they are also one of the more expensive shoes so I tend to get them at an outlet mall or something so they are discounted!

I’ve been running for 11 years. I’m 25, I went from ASICS, to Brooks and then tried out Adidas for the first time. I love Brooks, but for some reason Adidas tend to fit my foot better. They hug tightly in the right areas but most importantly they let my feet breathe in all the right areas as well. Hands down, my favorite shoe so far!

Going the Distance

CdaveRun · Jul 2, 2019

4/5

Overall

My pair of Energy Boost originals are currently at about 1,400 miles and still going. They still have tread, cushion and support. Granted they are getting a bit soft but they are still the most comfortable and supportive on long runs for my particular feet of all my many running shoes.
