I love the Solstice

I Just love Altra’s Solstice. This shoe fits like a glove. The cushioning is just right. It is as responsive as a racing flat, and light as one too. Colors are great. My only real complaint is outsole durability. It is all blown rubber which does not last long. I wish Altra would make the outsole of their road shoes as durable as their trail shoes. They should make a shoe that can be responsive on and off the road.

Altra solstice as forgettable as if looks

First impressions of the show when you put them on is that they are very roomy. Which is nice however when running in them they feel too loose. The fabric upper while light and airy does not give the shoe any structure they just don't feel sturdy making turns there is too much movement of your foot in the shoe. Cushion wise they just feel squishy not responsive at all. They are great for a kick around or gym shoe. Maybe for light miles if you are interested in a minimal zero drop shoe.
