What runners say

“Grip is great for general all-round trail running. Gravel, dry dirt, anything mushy essentially, just avoid the deep mud, the grip doesn't go that far.”

“Fairly lightweight (250g for a size 44) and they feel speedy.”

“Comfort is excellent, the toe box is medium width, but the soft materials mean you have some toe spread when running.”

“The top layer is stretched so thin all you really see is the bright yellowy-green, which isn't that nice.”

Versatile Trail Shoe

Overall

Purchased the Gobi v2 for trail running; however, so far I’ve just run on roads and their cushioning has been excellent. I own multiple pairs of running shoes, but the looks of the Gobis are my favorite.

Sweet trail running shoe for the non trail runner

Overall

I moved to an area with good trail access but I'm not a big trail runner wanted something I could run on the pavement and then hit the trails in the mud. I even Ran a 15 mile trail race in them they were perfect. Look good, wear nicely and have good cushioning plus they were cheap can't beat em.

Great cushioning while still firm and stable

Overall

During a problematic recovery with a knee injury, I was trying different cushioned shoes to see if I could find something to run in without knee pain. I bought Hoka Clifton, hoka, Nepali, and the bondi, also the NB Gobi v2. All worked well however the feel of the Gobi was far closer to a typical normal cushion shoe. It didn’t compress while running, and didn’t make me feel like I was wearing higher or larger shoes like the Bondi did. It’s a trail shoe, but doesn’t have aggressive lugs, similar to the tread on the Nepali trail version. It does give a little extra cushion in my opinion. I wear a 11.5 2e, and the shoes fit perfectly, with excellent toe box width. The Gobi v3 is out and is supposed to be the same base shoe with an improved upper. If I can’t find the v2 anymore I’ll try the v3.

Good solid trailShoe

Overall

Decent trail shoe. Liked a lot about the shoe not anything significant to fault. My personal preference is towards a shoe with a lower stack and a bit more drop but this is fine. I would say a decent training shoe but not for racing.
