Overall

Initial Purchase: I bought the newtons on 6pm.com for ridiculously cheap ($41 shipped) figuring they were just a gimmick but willing to try them after realizing that my $40 warehouse club Reeboks weren't cutting it and causing terrible shin splints. Note that I am a female, but bought the men's model to ensure a wider toebox. Use: Boy was I surprised! After the initial adjustment period, my time markedly improved and I was forced to change my form due to the small drop and the lugs under the forefoot. I now own 3 different pairs and love running in them. They feel perfect. Mileage: I thought the shoes were shot around 500 miles, so I bought a replacement pair, retiring the originals to the treadmill. This original pair is still going strong and pushing 600 miles. Buy Again? I own three pairs with 600 miles, 200 miles and 10 miles

Overall

As a forefoot striker, I was a big fan of the extra traction under the forefoot, right where I need it. There is something about the shoe that seems to put extra pressure on the area beneath the calluses on the balls of my feet and I have to periodically remove a portion of the callus to comfortably run in the shoe.

I got it for 30 bucks at runningwarehouse.com and it's one of the best shoes I have ever had. I liked it so much I ordered about 5 or 6 pairs.

Overall

First time in a lower drop/lighter heel running shoe and I love it. Has helped me run further with a better posture and the lugs provide cushioning where I need it. Wearing them around during the day too has strengthened my feet too (in my opinion). Can't wait for the new series to come out in January because of the added durability and comfort by their new flex fabric.
