Best Running Shoe I've Ever Had, But Varies

hsmiler1 · Nov 19, 2024

4/5

Overall

This was a great shoe, got it for $70 and it was basically a way more comfortable Pegasus 40 imo, wasn't a great workout shoe but solid for easy runs. However, when I bought a replacement, it was much worse, not as comfortable, and I stopped buying that shoe from then on.

Surprised at how good it is for me

Anonymous runner · Jun 17, 2024

Overall

Lots of ZoomX foam, so lots of cushioning, but still fairly quick.  Best for steady to fast longer runs, but also good for tempos.  Probably not as good for recovery or truly easy runs.  I alternate this with Reebok Forever Floatride Energy for medium & long runs, Reebok Symmetros for recovery & treadmill runs, and Saucony Endorphin Speeds for tempos and occasional speedwork.  I'm 61 and injury-prone, if that matters.

Would have better reputation if they didn't pretend it's a Peg Turbo

Anonymous runner · Nov 27, 2023

5/5

Overall

I really enjoy this shoe for easy runs. Its cushioning is great and after 300 miles, you can hardly tell they've been run in. They're nothing like the Pegasus Turbo, which is my favorite shoe I've ever worn, and I don't know why Nike decided to put the "Turbo" in the title of these shoes. Once I stopped comparing them to the real Peg Turbo, I started enjoying them much more for what they're good at: recovery and easy runs. They're not as versatile for workouts and long runs as the Pegasus Turbo because they're not particularly light, but they are very comfortable, cushioned, and durable.

Good Shoe for the value

Anonymous runner · Nov 24, 2023

Overall

I bought because it was going for $60 on the Nike app, and it's been great value 300 miles in so far. I use it for long runs and my legs feel good, so I'll probably continue using this shoe if I can get it cheap.
