This is the good, simple racer

Anonymous runner · Jan 4, 2019

Overall

I wear this shoe everyday and have for almost 5 months. I play soccer in this shoe and the upper holds well. It has 4mm of drop. Included are the extra holes so you can do the runner's lacelock. It gets out of the way and stays there. I've added some Dr. Sholl's inserts that I cut in half, underneath the rear of the Saucony Racing inserts that come with the shoe, increasing the drop to maybe 8 mm. Signed, Christopher Galen.

Great for Road Racing

Anonymous runner · Feb 7, 2018

Overall

I was a huge fan of Type A5 and A6 . Type A was a huge step down. But I believe Type A8 may be even better than A5 and A6. It is just as comfortable and seems to be even more durable. Pretty much a perfect shoe for my racing and faster workouts on the roads/trails.

A great racing/training flat

rhodeisland · Feb 6, 2018

Overall

I've been using this flat for fall road races and track workouts and I've been very pleased with many aspects of the shoe- I've noticed very little wear and tear after 5 months, I think my calves/feet have survived better post-wearing them than in other saucony flats and nike flats I've worn in the past, and I find them to be a great mix of supportive and light weight. If saucony were to ever convert this shoe into a spike I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
