Good distance race shoe

Anonymous runner · Sep 30, 2018

Overall

The shoe is light but has cushion and is responsive. Not a lot of material but what is there is enough. This is a fast shoe and good for longer runs (over 20 miles). The higher toe drop really isn’t noticeable and compareable to my saucs with only 4mm.

Supportive, lightweight flat for longer racing.

Overall

People have been singing this shoe's praises for a while now, but having never run in adidas shoes before, I was resistant to getting a pair. I've been on the hunt in recent years for a 13.1–26.2 racing shoe that feels supportive but is light and responsive enough to deliver a sensation similar to a minimal racing flat. The adios 3 is the closest I've come. I really like this shoe. I have relatively low arches and a tendency to overpronate, so I really feel it when a shoe is lacking in support. The adios 3 is unlike any racing flat that I've worn. It feels like it has some substantial support, but it performs like a flat. Previously I've done long racing and working out in the Hoka Tracer 2, a shoe that I still really like. The Tracer is cushioned and substantial, but it doesn't feel like it returns energy nearly as well as the adios. Also, the adios is far superior aesthetically.
