Well crafted shoe with responsive sole

Laurence Chandy · Jun 5, 2023

Overall

After years running with the Asics DS-Trainer series, I switched to the Brooks Hyperion and have been really impressed. The sole is a great combination of cushioned and responsive. The upper is so comfortable that these have additionally become my go-to shoes for running errands around the city and taking my dog for a walk. It's a diverse shoe too as I feel equally comfortable running 20 mile long runs in these as running short repetitions.

Weird fit but feels good at speed

Anonymous runner · Jun 3, 2023

Overall

I have a narrowish foot and these feel good in places and way too wide in others. Not a shoe that works well for me at easy run pace, but feels great at 10k pace or faster. Not too soft, not too firm. Very light - can be a racing shoe.

Good All-Around Shoe

slowHSrunner · May 31, 2023

Overall

I first wore this running shoe a couple of years ago and I don't envision myself using any other shoe as a result. It's good for everything - aerobic/easy runs, tempos, track workouts, etc. Good cushioning and durability. Consistently get 500+ miles out of each pair.

Great Workhorse Lightweight Trainer

Runsplit · Apr 10, 2020

Overall

I really have been loving the Brooks Hyperion Tempo and have 200 miles on my pair with little signs of wear with most of my miles coming on dirt roads. Does not seem to get a ton of press but they are incredible for me. They tested them against the Pegasus Turbo and for me I prefer them as they have 2mm more cushion in the front and same at the back with the same weight and a wider midfoot. Also a little firmer the Turbo which I prefer. Great rubber and lots of durability also look great IMO. The stability that these provide for its weight class is top notch and I like the firmer ride as my ankles feel much more in control. With this shoe I feel like I am in control unlike some of the higher stack soft trainers out now like the FuelCell TC or Endorphin Speed.
