Strange fit direction for the Turbo

I've always ordered 8.5 (US) for my Nike trainers, from the Pegasus, React's, Terra Kigers and recently 4% and ZoomFlys - However the Peg Turbos...There are a very odd size / shape. Longer than anything else I own, wider toe box than everything I own and generally an overall lack of lockdown. Once laced up and out for a run, they feel very dead compared to Reacts, I feel they don't provide any bounce and don't give any positive feel. The only good thing it seems, is they are happy at 5min/km pace and are keen to go quicker. Don't seem to suffer any sore points or issues, but not a joy to wear.

The Nike Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo is a love it or hate it shoe. I like the cushion on the shoe and the combination of the ZoomX and React foams I think make for a great combination. It's a decently lightweight shoe that can be used for tempos, long runs, and easy runs. I found the shoe very versatile. I think Nike could have handled the combination of foam a little better. You can definitely tell where the foams are combined together with the line that separates the foam. Some people have said they don't have a place in their rotation for it, but I found that it works well in my rotation of shoes. I've run some races in it where I'm training through the race for the cushioning and lightweight.

I have put about 50 miles on these so far, and like them about as well as anything. I have been running mostly in Pegasus for the past few years, and recently have needed to go to a a wide from a standard width to accommodate my wide forefoot (I had been getting blisters on the outside of my forefoot). I could not find these on sale in a wide so I went up a 1/2 size from normal. I was worried these would be sloppy but they have been very comfortable even though they look big on me. I have run as far as 9 miles in them and a couple of 5k races with no problems. I think I have found my fall marathon shoe if I can find another pair (I tend to buy shoes only when they are on sale).

Lightweight and tons of cushion

Very versatile shoe. Long runs, easy days, workouts...all possible in this shoe given that it is lightweight but still feels like it has a good amount of cushion
