Workout shoe: good for tempo runs, intervals on flat surfaces. Bad for trails, grass and other uneven surfaces. Not much stability, I don't use them for mileage runs.

I wear over the counter inserts w/them and they feel great. I've also worn custom orthotics w/the NB 1400.

I do most of my workouts and long runs in the 1400, but wear something more durable for most of my easy mileage. This shoe has very good cushioning for its weight and makes a great marathon shoe.

The V1 was better than the V2 -- I wish they did not make changes -- I now have to find another shoe. The V2 is to narrow in the toe box and it after awhile my feet go numb.
