Excellent Cushioned Trainer

5/5

Overall

This is probably the best highly cushioned trainer I have ever run in. It is soft without being mushy, and very light for its size and the amount of cushioning. The upper is soft and fits my foot well (a little bit loose in the heel at first, but I adjusted the lacing accordingly). My stride feels energetic when running in it.

Not an everyday trainer

3/5

Overall

The construction of the shoe overall is good. Nice breathable upper and durable sole. It has nice room in the toe box which is typical of new balance shoes. The major downside of that for a cushioning shoe it has a pretty firm feel to it. It is better suited for runs closer to marathon/threashold pace where you can feel the benefits of the cushioning rather than at easy pace. It does have a pretty low heel drop (8mm) which I find makes it more consistent to get a good forefoot strike.
