What runners say

“These shoes are fast, and it was hard to dial the goal pace in because they want to go so fast.”
5/5 Full review 75 mpw training for a marathon came from the New Balance Fresh Foam Zante v3

5/5 Full review 60 mpw training for a half marathon came from the New Balance 1500 v4
“Normally the quads feel like rocks by that point, especially going uphill. But they felt much better in the 4% .”
5/5 Full review 90 mpw training for a marathon came from the Nike LunarTempo 2
“These do what they are advertised to do, help you really roll/pop off your toes with the plate. It was a stressor that my achilles, ankles, and calves just couldn't handle, leaving me extremely sore.”
1/5 Full review training for a marathon
“This is the single best shoe i have ever run in, there is a genuine difference in comfort, road feel and speed.”
5/5 Full review 100 mpw training for a marathon came from the Nike LunaRacer 4
“The cushion technology has my legs feeling great far into long runs and better than ever after runs.”
5/5 Full review 55 mpw training for a marathon came from the Saucony Havok XC2 Flat
“The first mile was downhill, and I could feel a lot of cushioning and springiness for each step.”
5/5 Full review 75 mpw training for a marathon came from the New Balance Fresh Foam Zante v3
“They aren't too durable; after about 5 miles of wear, I can already see how the soles are grinding out on the street.”
5/5 Full review 3 mpw training for a half marathon came from the Nike Zoom Fly SP (Special Project)
“The cushioning can be comparable to a Hoka One One but quite honestly this is more plush.”
4/5 Full review 65 mpw training for a marathon came from the Nike Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo
“After about 25 miles, the foam in the heel literally started to chip away and fall off.”
4/5 Full review 55 mpw training for a marathon came from the Nike LunaRacer 4
“The carbon fiber insole propels, no, launches you forward at mach speeds.”
5/5 Full review 30 mpw training for a half marathon
“Fit is amazing. I have a bunion on right foot. Always hurts because most shoes are too snug. Not the Vaporfly.”
5/5 Full review 8 mpw training for a half marathon
“After 26 miles, the carbon fiber plate started to dig into my foot, leaving an unusual callus and blister in that location.”
4/5 Full review 60 mpw training for a marathon came from the Nike Flyknit Lunar 3
“After 2 marathons, sole started cracking and peeling apart, maybe 200 miles total.”

“It was like I was suddenly running barefoot on concrete.”
5/5 Full review 75 mpw training for a marathon came from the New Balance Fresh Foam Zante v3
“The durability is the only weak point as the white foam that is exposed on the outsole of the shoe wears down faster than the reinforced black blown rubber sections.”
4/5 Full review 65 mpw training for a marathon came from the Nike Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo
“These shoes don't work for forefoot strikers because that big bouncy heel is no longer doing anything.”
1/5 Full review 6 mpw training for a half marathon came from the Nike LunaRacer 4
“Although they feel amazing to race in, I have already noticed the sole of the shoe is becoming damaged.”
5/5 Full review 65 mpw training for a half marathon came from the adidas adizero Boston 7
“The sole is noticeably smaller. Providing a smaller landing surface and a feeling of instability.”
4/5 Full review 60 mpw
“Feels spongey and kind of clunky but firms up at pace.”
5/5 Full review 40 mpw training for a half marathon came from the Saucony Freedom ISO
“I personally think this shoe is great for racing and up-tempo training, maybe still OK for fast easy. But it's not meant for slow recovery run.”
5/5 Full review 3 mpw training for a marathon
“Durability is the biggest question but I don't believe Nike will make it more durable since it is designed to be a racing shoe.”
5/5 Full review 40 mpw training for a half marathon
“Best when running fast; slow jogging diminishes their efficiency.”
5/5 Full review 8 mpw training for a half marathon

Expensive but worth it

Overall

Gives unparalleled bounce and efficiency. Fit is a bit tight with the Flyknit upper so go at least half a size up. Could be more durable.

Expensive, but maybe just worth it

Very soft, good response. I have some trouble with the laces when the shoe gets wet during hot runs. However, I love how lightweight the shoe is. This shoe is made for racing.

Overall, goood for racing

5/5

Overall

I typically have worn Zoom Fly's for my long progressions and tempo runs so I splurged an investment into these as racing flats. I've worn them about 3 times in total for some quicker reps in a workout, just getting a better feel for them once I start racing in them. I don't think they belong in any races below 10K, though you could probably get away with using them in the 5K just fine. They aren't too durable; after about 5 miles of wear, I can already see how the soles are grinding out on the street. The VF's also don't pan too well on wet areas (I have yet to try on a trail, but I doubt the situation will be drastically different from asphalt of track, which are both perfectly fine). Overall, I think they're a solid investment for anyone serious enough about the sport but wouldn't recommend them to average runners. They're light and feel great (I feel like I'm constantly propelling myself forward with ease), but those just getting into the sport or looking to break 20 minutes in a 5K, I can't say the same; running more and developing as an athlete will give you more bang for your buck there. **For normal shoes they seem to run slightly small, like most Nike footwear, but I still wear a 7 in these and my trainers**

They really are as good as they say!

5/5

Overall

The best racing shoe I’ve ever worn, ever bit as good as the hype. Do they make you faster ? Probably not. But do they have a strange ability to prolong the onset of fatigue and slowing - seemingly so. Please bring out a new pair in white - not a fan of dark blue
