Best Shoe I Have Used

I have been running for 51 years and have probably logged over 90,000 miles. I have found the Pegasus Turbo to be the best combination of cushioning, light weight, and responsiveness that I have ever used. The shoe is soft without being mushy. I am not sure I buy into the "whole energy" return thing, but most of the other shoes that claim "energy return" are soft but heavy. The Peg Turbo is a light shoe that makes even an old dude like me feel springy. The rubber on the outsole is thin. I have found that a dab of Shoe Goo in the high wear spots allows 400 - 500 miles before these need to be replaced. I wish they were less expensive. But if I am going to spend money on a pair of running shoes, I prefer to spend it on a shoe I love. Note - these would not make someone who needs a stability shoe that happy. They are a true light weight neutral trainer.

The shoe was great while it lasted but wore out after ~400 miles of running (i walked in them some too). Cushioning was strange because they felt slightly unresponsive but I ran faster times wearing them. Overall the shoe is worth it if you can find a discount on them. Otherwise I would not recommend dropping $180 on them.

Originally billed as a fast alternative to Nike's Vaporfly 4%, my running circle and I have found that the Turbo is the best recovery shoe around. Its lightweight comfort is second to none. The Zoom X is both plush and responsive enough to keep your legs moving after hard efforts from long runs to intervals.
