Very light neutral trainer with a funny slippery plastic feel

Overall
I bought these shoes because of the very soft heel (I have chronic insertional Achilles issues), relatively wide toe box, and light weight. The shoes have a weird slick plastic feeling on the outside and the laces are narrow and seem very slippery. However, the laces have no tendency to come untied while running and the only manifestation of the weird plastic feel is that they make an annoying noise on every footstrike. The ride is neutral with a nice road feel, not a lot of cushion but enough for someone who prefers old-school, fairly minimalistic shoes. And they are very light. So far durability seems OK but I haven't put enough miles on them to really judge.
