Brooks Launch 4

5/5

Overall

Overall these shoes are great. They’re light weight and very responsive. They’re supportive enough for long runs, yet light enough for reps on the track as well. I’ve run in all kinds of shoes and these are the ones I always come back to. The only downsides to the shoes are that they wear quickly. I busted out the sides of them after 400ish miles. Also they don’t do well in wet conditions. Prepare to have wet feet if it is raining. I love these shoes and would rate them 9/10.

Although I'm a severe overpronator. I don't think this shoe was designed for overpronators. I still ran in it and it was very comfortable.

Brooks Koi Shoe

3/5

Overall

I love my Brooks Launch and I have worn them for years. For whatever reason, this particular version lasted 180 miles before the outer sole was completely worn down. Now I have two more pairs of Launch 4s each with over 250 miles on them and they are barely worn out. Very sad as they are truly cool looking. Hope the new 5s hold up better.

Affordable and practical Launch

5/5

Overall

The practical launch is a simple shoe that is affordable and gets the job done for ~300 miles. You can typically find this shoe for sale for about $75 online if you don't mind the previous version. It's no frills or gimmicks and doesn't suffer from the beefiness and overindulgent stylizing that the Adrenaline has gone through.
