Brooks Ravenna 8

4/5

Overall

I have been running in the Ravennas for a few years - the 4's, 5's, and 7's. My favorite so far has been the 5 but I think that the 8 is closer to it than the 7's were. To me, this shoe has nice amount of cushioning that is not too soft or firm for a stability shoe. This shoe transitions well and feels smooth right away, not much breaking in required. It has a similar feel to the launch now except firmer and with the stability. For me this shoe versatile enough for long runs down to tempo paces.

I have never loved these shoes, but I really like them. They have kept me reasonably healthy over the past year, and the Ravenna 6's kept me the same the previous 1.5 years before that. There's enough support and cushion for road running, but they never feel too heavy.

Ravenna 8 review

5/5

Overall

The shoe fits normal to other brooks shoes, and I really like the comfort of the mid stability style. While running it felt pretty responsive, feeling like I had a good bounce to my stride. It doesn't feel like there is too much support in it, but I don't feel like I'm running in a neutral shoe. Really like the feel of it.
