Good shoe

5/5

Overall

I like the Bondi. I was getting some weird numbness in my forefoot when I first started running in them, sort of like my foot was falling asleep. This, however, has dissipated after a few runs, and now they feel great. Aside from getting over the fact that my body now requires a behemoth sized shoes, Hoka's foam is still super light and takes up a lot of impact that my aching hips and joints seem to require since I have gotten back into running again. I ran competitively from ages 14-20 but switched predominately to road cycling for the last 6 years, and have run very little since then. I'm glad that I can run the little bit since I have started up again, and I think I will stick with the Bondi for the time being. Can't really speak to durability since I probably don't have even 100 miles on them in 6 months.

Black is black

5/5

Overall

When you get old and slow you eventually even give up on shoes to make you look fast. The all black version of the Bondi looks like a work boot, but this look is deceiving. These are the ultimate long distance road shoe. Light and exceptionally well cushioned they feel like racing flats for people with hip or knee replacements.
