Orthotic-friendly and roomy

5/5

Overall

I have a hard time finding shoes that have enough volume to accommodate my orthotics, but Clifton 6 seems to be a keeper. I had a previous version Clifton 4 and with orthotics in this neutral shoe, my feet would tend to slant laterally and place extra weight on the outer edge of my feet/shoes. Old version must have had some arch, midfoot support that interfered with my orthotics. Don't have that problem with this version. Cushioning is great, as expected, in Hokas. Try it for your long runs and you won't be sorry.

Clifton 6 review

3/5

Overall

Initial fit and ride are so very comfortable. Note that sizing is +1/2 large for me, so try on before you buy. The knit upper feels great but runs a little sloppy for my narrow feet. The cushion is softer in this version from the Clifton v5. Not as good for faster paces but great for long runs and easy days. After 100 miles they softened up a bit too much for me but will keep them in rotation.

Great cushion but still a lightweight shoe. Neutral shoe that flexes/bends where the foot flexes/bends. Good for long runs and tempos.
