Pros

  • At 4.6 oz it is lighter than the 9.8 oz median for spikes for sale.
  • Several reviewers race 800m to 1500m in it and describe a springy, aggressive ride, one crediting the carbon plate for how efficient a fast 800 feels.
  • Appearance averages 5 out of 5 across eleven reviews, with value at 4.4.

Cons

  • Durability averages 3.3 out of 5, the lowest of its dimensions, and four reviewers report it coming apart within a season, with ripped lace holes or torn foam.
  • Two reviewers find it unstable through the turns, one of them blaming the thin upper for the lockdown.
  • It lists at $180, and two reviewers find the price hard to justify, one of them also finding the cushioning too thin to race beyond a mile.

Unstable Spikes (when cornering)

3/5

Overall

Really fast on the straights but unstable af when cornering. A lot of effort required to maintain stability underfoot while cornering. Running form need to be pretty good to handle this spikes.

Durability is quite ass. Also half size down (if you are US10.5, take US10) for normal fit.

Best Spikes For 800m/1500m

5/5

Overall

I’ve used these spikes for everything from a 400m race to a 3k, and I would set the upper limit at 1500, and wouldn’t recommend them for a 400m unless you are slower than ~0:58, because they aren’t meant for insane speed. The carbon fiber plate helps a lot, and feels very energy efficient in a fast 800.
