Nike Epic React Flyknit 2

5/5

Overall

Since the Lunarglide series are no longer produced, the store recommended the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2. I appreciate the weight and comfort. However, the bottom soles wear out really fast. I hope it will last 5 more months. Otherwise, I also hope more variety of colors are offered.

Works best when running fast

4/5

Overall

I tried on this shoe and the new Pegasus at the same time and they felt very comparable but then I got on the treadmill and cranked it down to under 8 minutes per mile and the Epic Reacts felt awesome once I got to that faster pace. I've been doing my long runs and speed training in these shoes and I've loved the way they feel under my feet. I have bones spurs on my heels and I went through a process of breaking in the shoes with a few blisters at the very start. I would love to see a trail version of these because the tread is a little slippery on wet trail conditions. These are easily the most expensive shoes I've ever bought but I'm really liking them!

A dream trainer - almost

Overall

This is almost ideal daily trainer for me: soft without being mushy, light and comfortable. My only problem is flyknit upper is on the hotter side and it doesn't fit the top of my foot ideally.
