Pros

  • Cushioning averages 5 out of 5 across its three reviews, and two of them use it for easy and long road runs.
  • Averaging 8.1 oz across the men's and women's builds, it is lighter than the 8.9 oz median for daily trainers for sale.

Cons

  • It lists at $160, above the $150 median for daily trainers for sale, and value averages 3.7 out of 5, the lowest of its dimensions.
  • One reviewer finds the outsole grooves pick up gravel, and another dislikes the one-piece upper and sizes a full size up from the previous LunarEpic.

Well cushioned, good for easy.

5/5

Overall

I was a big fan of Nike Lunaracer (for both training and race) till it got discontinued. Lunarepic is not a replacement of Lunaracer, but still good shoes for easy runs. It's super bouncy and well-cushioned, yet still gives reasonable response - which makes it feels way better than any Nike Freerun shoes. I somehow feel my easy pace is slightly faster in these shoes.

comfortable road shoe

4/5

Overall

I've run in mostly Nike for 38+ years because their lightweight neutral shoes tend to fit my long, narrow (14, A) feet. The Lunar Epic Low Flyknit 2 is a well cushioned, comfortable road shoe that I use for mostly longer easy road runs. I found that the LEF2 is a bit wider than some of the other Nikes I have had recently ( the Pegasus, Lunar Tempo, and Lunar Racer), but not so wide that I can't wear it. One thing I don't like is the outsole with its grooves as it tends to pick up gravel.

I don't like the one piece upper as much as I thought. The sizing is screwed up now. I'm a full size bigger in LunarEpic2 vs. LunarEpic.
