The disclosure
Better Running Shoes participates in affiliate programs with running retailers and affiliate networks. When you follow a link from this site to a retailer and buy something, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
What it affects
It funds the site. That is the whole of it.
What it does not affect
- Ratings. Scores are computed from runner-submitted reviews before any pricing or affiliate data is attached. There is no point in the pipeline where commission could influence a rating.
- Rankings. A shoe's position in any list comes from its rating or its price, depending on the list. Never from what it pays.
- Which retailer we show. We list the lowest price we hold among the retailers we track, in the size you asked for when you have set one. Commission rates are not part of that ordering.
- What gets listed. Shoes appear because we have data on them, not because of a commercial relationship.
How outbound links are marked
Links to retailers carry rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines can tell
they are commercial, and they open in a new tab. Price sections are labeled where
they are commercial.
Amazon prices
We are a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, and as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon product prices and availability are accurate as of the capture time shown beside each Amazon price and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of that product.
Because Amazon prices change without notice, we show only the current price we last retrieved — never Amazon price history, and never a “was $X” comparison against an Amazon price.
