How it ranks
The adidas Solar Glide ST’s rating is an early estimate. We’ve collected 4 runner reviews so far, with brand history also informing the score.
Confidence
How settled the rating is against every other rated shoe. A shoe can rate high on confidence with relatively few reviews of its own when its product line has a long record and external ratings from retailer sites agree. Confidence is low when we have few ratings or when runners disagree.

Based on
The bars show roughly how much each source contributes to this shoe’s rating. Their influence depends on how many reviews we’ve collected, how many earlier versions are in the product line, and the external ratings available.
“Anything faster than a jog feels clonky in these shoes”
“The shoe is way too heavy for short races or speed work but for recovery and long runs the ride is great”
“Leaves nothing but fabric over the achilles. Makes for a comfier fit but I've found the durability of the material on the inside there to be terrible”
“The guide rails on the sides can be a bit obtrusive to get used to but do seem to stabilize the foot well without feeling a hard medial post”
“Far less bulky than the Supernova ST, the Solar Glide ST has a superior fit with a wider toe box”
“Heel counter cut out is great, I have felt no pressure on my achilles”
“I have about 275 miles on my pair and have not worn through the rubber but it is awfully close in places”
“The continental rubber wears down pretty quickly”
“I was getting pains in my arch and along the top of my foot if I tried running any further with them”
“It will last 500+ miles without losing any assets”
“The Boost/EVA combo gives a plush ride with a reasonable amount of energy return”
“After 80-something miles, it's almost shredded”
“Very soft mesh that is comfortable. It is a little warm for hot summer runs and seems to hold water more than others”
“The Adidas SolarGlide ST is the ideal shoe for those post-workout recovery runs where the pace feels just above walking”
“Nothing like it when it comes to the combination of durability, cushion, and responsiveness”
