Quick ride for easy days, feels small for wide feet.

4/5

Overall

Light weight, good for road tempos, but the sides of the upper are not that durable, and split open earlier than the sole loses cushion for wider feet people.

Well, when I first tried on the shoe I thought it was amazing, then a couple weeks passed by. It is a very good looking shoe but the back has this plastic plate that eventually digs into your achilles. They shrink and become very tight when you leave them in any sort of heat. I only wore them for a month and then tossed them.

The shoe for everything

5/5

Overall

Ever since I first started running in Fresh Foams, I always enjoyed the feel. New Balance has done a great job refining the shoe and the third generation did change quite a bit in regards to feel. V2 was definitely more comfortable at first due to its almost sock-like feel, but they did end up getting a bit squishy towards the end of their lifespan. V3's major change was that they became much firmer and provided a more snappy response to the road. For my style of running this was a great change. I don't want something that I sink into. I want a shoe that has some give, but is also responsive enough for quicker repeats, etc. I've done everything from long runs, a 5 mile race and even repeat 200s in these shoes and can't get enough. One of the better shoes I have ever run in period.
