Great training shoe but in summer humidity or in rain any wetness causes the sole to slide out of place or shrivel practically ruining it.

For the last 5 years or so I have run in Asics, first the Nimbus then Cumulus. I recently decided to try Saucony as it was a bit lighter of a shoe I believe and I was ready to mix it up. I love the ride, it's go the cushioning I'm looking for however does not feel as bulky as the Cumulus/Nimbus did at times.

Only about 100 miles into this shoe, but so far it seems good. Would like it to be a little softer but overall seems good.

Good shoe. Light and comfortable. Sometimes wish it provided a little more comfort for the roads, already a more plush neutral trainer but if you are logging a lot of road mileage, it might be worthwhile to switch the Ride with something a little more supportive. Otherwise a good shoe, suitable for most paces.

Overall

I ran in the Ride 6 for a really long time then moved into the Ride 7 and realized it was much different. They removed the plastic shank underneath the midfoot to add more flexibility and natural toe off to the Ride 7. However, now that the shoe is much softer and more flexible it almost seems like a different shoe. I liked the stiffness of the Ride 6 because I had been dealing with a case of plantar fasciitis and mild posterior tibial tendonitis. Thus, a softer shoe makes the posterior tib work harder. Also, one other change was the Ride 7 is more narrow through the forefoot than the Ride 6. I loved the Ride 6 minus the the lack of durability. The brand wears out much quicker than other brands (like Adidas).
