Overall

This is a standard, neutral shoe with great value. It's cushioned but not too cushioned. No frills. Gets good mileage - good up to at least 400 miles.

I was a huge fan of the Asics GT-21xx series, started with the 2150s until they were discontinued. The GT-2000 has been better than expected, though not the complete same. The DuoMax section in the arch part of the GT-21xx series was great, and although the GT-2000 series has something similar, it's not quite the same. There isn't too much of a difference between the GT-2000-1 and GT-2000-2 in my eyes, but I think the initial version would win out. But they're great shoes, really stable, not flashy, and comfortable. They haven't changed enough for me to feel like I need to look for different shoes. I've avoided injury for the most part, so I don't want to fix what's not broke.
