Best Energy Boost Since the OG

5/5

Overall

After taking several years away from the Energy Boost, I came back to it this winter because of a great deal on the adidas website. The Boost 2 ESM ruined the model line for me back in college. I was wary of the super stretchy upper but there is not too much play for my narrow foot which was a great improvement. Love the Boost cushioning, feels like there is almost no break in period as I took them straight from box to long run. They performed as you would expect a cushioned trainer to, but where I was surprised with the newest incarnation of the Energy Boost was how well it performed at higher speeds. Just doing strides in them they were responsive and had spring to them. Overall, seems to handle the slow and the fast.

Good responsive shoe but wears easily

4/5

Overall

Overall a fantastic shoe. I am a high mileage runner and these shoes can handle the day to day grind that training brings. Extremely responsive and comfortable. Really does seem to put some caffeine into your step. Great for average training runs and workouts. Only critiques are that the bottom of the shoe seems to wear out pretty quickly. Also a priced a bit too high.
