4/5

Overall

I have been running roclite shoes for 4 years after receiving a free pair for winning the 12 hour cool moon night run in 2011. The roclite 285 came out this spring and are 10 grams lighter than their predecessor. A very minimal shoe in weight though extremely durable due to its outsole configuration. I routinely get around 1000 miles per pair. I do have a problem with the upper tearing apart at the metatarsal after I have been running in them for over 400 miles or more . I love the outsole I refer to these shoes as trail cleates which handle all trails well, though break down quicker on hard pack trails roads or fire roads.
