A classic durable lightweight shoe that was unfortunately discontinued

5/5

Overall

The Mizuno Wave Hitogami 3 is the best training shoe I've ever used. It exceeds all my basic criteria: Lightweight, comfortable, fast, durable, and stylish. Its durability is impressive - I've put over 500 miles on it thus far, and it feels like new. I am bereaved that Mizuno abruptly discontinued this series, and I am no longer able to find a pair in my size, save for an occasional used item on eBay (who buys used shoes?). Incredible shoe. Mizuno: Please make more!

Hitogami's took me to Boston

5/5

Overall

In January I opened the box, relaced, and started my training for 2018 Boston Marathon. These Hitogami's are not as light as the first iteration (which I still use for racing up to the half-marathon distance) but they are neutral, light and durable. No break-in required, they served in all weather conditions including the mud in this year's Athlete's Village in Hopkinton, mass. I used to think I needed heavy-duty heal support. Then I found mizuno and my chronic plantar fasciitis was a thing of the past.
