Pros

  • Both reviewers find the toe box roomy, one saying it does not rub their toes.
  • One reviewer says the heel is narrow enough that it does not slide.
  • Reviewers describe ample cushioning on a wide, stable base.

Cons

  • Averaging 12.9 oz across the men's and women's builds, it is far above the 8.9 oz median for daily trainers on sale.
  • Appearance is its lowest-rated dimension, and one reviewer disliked the loud colorway they had to buy.

Overall

While I really like the New Balance 1540v2, the color choice I had when purchasing them was not good. they are dark blue with fluorescent pink trim and laces. Since then, I bought a pair that isn't quite so loud - much better. While these shoes are pricey, they fit well and are very comfortable. The toebox is large and don't rub on my toes, which is the reason why I switched from the 1340v3 to these. The heel is narrow enough that they don't slide off. Overall, this is a very good shoe.
