How it ranks
The New Balance Fresh Foam X 880 v12 ranks among the stronger daily trainers in our data. Durability and value are its strongest sub-ratings. Looks scores well below its other sub-ratings. The rating rests on 13 runner reviews and 13 other rated shoes in the 880 product line.
Confidence
How settled the rating is against every other rated shoe. A shoe can rate high on confidence with relatively few reviews of its own when its product line has a long record and external ratings from retailer sites agree. Confidence will score low when we have few ratings or when runners disagree.

Due to the downfall of the Pegasus line, I've completely switched over to the 880 line. Great daily trainer and workhorse shoe. Unlike the past couple of pegs, it doesn't feel uncomfortable to pick up the pace in them.

I’ve been running in the NB 880s for a few years and V12 is a solid show. I find them to be comfortable with good cushioning and a roomy toe box. They fit true to size. Only thing I don’t like about V12 is that the current sole material is slippery even on dry surfaces. Other than that, great shoe.
