Ultra shoes

Overall

I've run a few ultra marathons in altras, a few times right out of the box, never an issue. Best all around shoe I've ever run 100 miles in. For through hiking, no body makes a better fitting shoe for wide feet or anyone who may develop for issues over long distance.

Great all around shoe

Overall

The Timp has been my favorite for several years. A trail shoe. it has enough cushioning for short stretches of pavement as well. Most appreciated about this shoe is the Altra "foot shape" which I really need, and for me the particular version of "foot shape" used in the Timp is just about perfect, as close as one can expect without getting custom made shoes. I would prefer a more forefoot cushioning.
